Rules and Regulations

ATTENDANCE
  • Regular attendance in school is very important for the child to do well in studies.
  • The Educational Department rules stipulate that for the purpose of promotion a student should have a minimum 80% of attendance.
  • When a student is absent from school for any valid reason, the parent should enter and sign the Leave Record.
  • A child may remain absent only in case of illness. For any other valid reason, previous written permission must be taken by the parents.
  • If the child is absent more than a day. Parents should meet the principal to inform about illness of the pupil.
  • If a pupil is absent due to illness for three days or more, a medical certificate must be produced stating the period for which the child is likely to remain absent. If he/she is absent for three months or more without permission, his/her name is liable to be struck off the roll. Even if a pupil is absent for a day having any valid reason a detail note should accompany with a note in the diary.
  • During school hours, no student is allowed to leave the classroom without the permission of the teacher or until the class is dismissed. Written permission of the principal is required for student to leave the school premises during school hours. Breach of these rules will be viewed seriously.
  • Parents are requested not to ask their children to come away from school before the school leaves, except in case of real necessity, in which case, permission should be obtained in writing.
  • Children will not be sent home, even in an emergency, with anyone who might come for them during school hours, without a written request from the parent.
  • Attendance on the first day of school after holidays is compulsory. No excuses will be accepted. Prior permission for absence on the first day after holiday must be obtained even if the child is sick.

EXAMINATION
  • There are Two Terminal Examinations in the year.
  • There will be continuous evaluation of the student in each term and marks will be added for the respective term.
  • Reports on the conduct, application and progress will be given after each test and examination in the report card. The report card, duly signed by the parent should be returned to the Class Teacher.
  • If a child gets below average in the particular subject (E-1, E-2) then after the coaching classes the re-exam will be taken by the School.
  • Parents should send a written explanation, accompanied with a doctor certificate, when a child is absent for the test or examination, even if it is for one day.
  • Parents and only parents should compulsorily attend the Open House after the First Term Exam.

SCHOOL FEES

Pre- Primary:

  • Monthly fees: Rs. 400/- per month & Rs. 400/- per term.

Primary

  • Monthly fees: For Std. I to IV
  • Rs. 500/- per month & Rs. 500/- per term.
  • Monthly fees : For Std V to X
  • 550 /- per month & Rs. 550 / - per term.
  • Rs. 50/- Computer Fees per month.
  • The fees of the month of May have to be paid in the month of April.
  • A child who has not paid the fees may be barred from Examinations.

GENERAL RULES
  • It is important that every student has his/her own set of text books, note books, etc., as prescribed by the school.
  • Each student should take care of his/her belongings. The school will not be responsible for anything that is found missing.
  • Students should throw waste papers in the dustbin and not on the floor.
  • Parents should check the School Diary everyday.
  • The school will appreciate it if the parents get involved in their ward studies and progress in the school.
  • Parents may meet the teachers only before or after school hours or durng the recess.
  • Parents with complaints should contact the Principal and not the teachers.

GENERAL DISCIPLINE
  • It is compulsory to speak in English in the school premises in order to acquire greater quality in the study of English.
  • Any damage done in the class or on the school premises by the pupil will be restored back.
  • Parents should encourage their ward to participate in the curricular and co-curricular activities of the school.
  • Politeness and courtesy of speech and conduct are expected from every pupil. Any type of discourtesy or disrespect to members of the school staff will be considered as a serious breach of discipline.
  • Pupils are not allowed to use mobile phones to school.
  • Parents, guardians or any other persons are not allowed to see the students or interview their teachers during school hours without permission.
  • All pupils are expected to be present for assembly during which they pray together. At the first warning bell, all the pupils must fall in line immediately. At the second bell, all will recite the prayers and after the assembly, move silently to the classrooms.
  • Running and shouting inside the school building are not allowed and when classes are over at the end of the session, the pupils in due order and silence should move in single line, along the corridors to the exit.
  • All should take an honest pride in keeping their school clean. Be very careful during the recess not to litter the floor, the compound and the roadside with papers, leaves, seeds, etc.
  • The school cannot be held responsible for books, writing, materials, clothes and other articles that are lost. Pupils are expected to look after their own belongings. It is not advisable for pupils to have money , jewellery or other valuable articles, fancy watches with them. Students should not wear any ornaments like bangles, rings, etc. It is not allowed.

UNIFORMS

Pre- Primary:

Boys: Green checked shirts & dark green pants, house belts.

Girls: Green checked blouses & dark pinafores, red ribbons/ red hair band, 2paits or hair cut short.

PRIMARY

Boys: Light grey shirts & dark grey pants, house bets. Std VII: dark grey long pants

Girls: Light grey blouses & dark grey pinafores, red ribbons/ red hair band, 2paits or hair cut short. Sashes: according to colour of Houses: red, blue, green, yellow.

PT Uniform:

Children from Std I onward will be required to wear PT uniform as per their House colour.

Shoes: (after the monsoon : October onwards) Black leather shoes & black socks.

Sweaters: If the child wears a sweater , the following should be observed: Plain, black sweaters.

Boys: V-neck, closed sweaters, full sleeves.

Girls: Open in the front, V-neck with black buttons, full sleeves. No jackets or coats of any colour are allowed.

THE HOUSE SYSTEM
In order to inculcate a healthy spirit of competition and to get the best out of each student, the students are divided into four Houses. Each House is named after an important personality in or nations history, so as to serve as an inspiration to the students.
